Your first egg, safely home
Train a little speed, steal from a monster territory at night, follow the return route to your plot, then wait for the egg to hatch. A steal only becomes useful after you bring it home.
Finish one complete loop
Find your plot and your way back
Before walking into a monster territory, locate the safe zone and your plot. The October 6 beginner recording shows SAFE ZONE painted on the ground and large white arrows on the return route. Learn those landmarks before carrying an egg.
Use the training station
The recorded plot has a treadmill and a phone-shaped training menu. Enter the training interaction and choose a minigame. Watch your Speed counter rather than assuming that more cash makes you faster. The speed guide explains the three visible games and exit prompts.
Steal an egg during the night phase
The developer describes entering monster territories at night. Watch the day/night countdown in your own server and use the interaction prompt shown for the egg. The first recorded scene says “Steal an EXE Egg!”; it does not establish a universal keyboard shortcut.
Return instead of stopping in the chase
A carried egg brings a large RUN!! banner and a red Drop button in the recording. Turn back toward the safe zone and plot. Keep Drop unused if your goal is to deliver that egg. Reaching the safe-zone boundary is an intermediate step: continue to your own plot.
Let the plot egg hatch
At 5:30 in the recording, the blue egg is on the plot with a countdown reading 0m 04s. That is a moment in one hatch, not its full hatch duration. Use your own egg's timer, then confirm that an EXE pet appears.
Make the return pay for the next attempt
The official loop places hatched EXEs on the plot to earn cash. Check the pet's displayed income and your cash balance. Spend on the training or space problem that is actually stopping your next return.

If the first attempt fails
| What you see | Next useful action |
|---|---|
| The guardian catches you before the safe zone | Return to speed training, learn a shorter route and retry a manageable territory. |
| You crossed the safe zone but still carry the egg | Continue to your own plot; the safe-zone line is not the hatch location. |
| The egg is on the plot but not a pet yet | Read its countdown. The official loop includes a hatch wait. |
| The next area feels harder | Complete more reliable returns and upgrade before committing to that area. |
Milestones that confirm progress
The official badge list includes Welcome to Steal An EXE Egg! for first joining and First EXE Hatched! for the first hatch. First Plate Stolen! specifically describes taking an EXE guardian's plate. Keep that wording separate from assuming that every egg pickup awards the plate badge.
The route details above come from a public beginner recording uploaded October 6, 2026 and inspected October 8. We have not personally played this run. Use current prompts if an update changes a control.
Questions players ask
Can I play on a phone?
The developer lists Desktop, Console, Mobile and Tablet support. The inspected recording shows a touch-style jump control; use the prompts on your device.
Does touching the safe zone hatch my egg?
The recorded return continues from SAFE ZONE to the player's plot. Hatching is shown on the plot with a countdown.
